message boards are evil, mail is soo much more fun.
phpbb has some forum2mail mods, but these need to be installed, when dealing with and unwilling/unable/... admin an external tool is more usefull. This script will look for new posts on a phpbb installation and mail in to subscribers:

I finally started putting the holliday pictures online. Since we took a special vacation this year I'm turning them into a website with more info then just 'picture of monument X' picture of Y in front of monument Y.

only the first 2 days, and the map are available, but so far it includes a wonderfull pic of the Zonienwoud in Brussels :)

I'm looking for an open source bloggin package to use on my own site. Main requirement, needs to be completely layoutable with css as it needs to fit in with the rest of the site. Working nicely with mediawiki or Gallery would be good to.

Nice view over a river in Boston, last in a 'recursive wikippl take pictures of the river series (http://flickr.com/photos/70418651@N00/218746564/?#comment72157594242389643 for the series). But this one is esp funky since one of the buildings seems to dissapear into the air surrounding it when you make the photo smaller. If you see the picture at full size it's clearly visible tho.

we're going on a busstrip in 2 weeks, wich means get in the bus around 6 pm, get out of the bus around 8 am next morning. We'll need some food on this trip :)

I was thinking some kind of tarts, but don't like the millefeuille crust that much, it's a bit too havy for me. Anybody got an idea for a crust that leans more towards the bread side?

I'm making cinnamon buns today. Cooking and baking are good exam stress relief methods :) (as well as helpful procrastination tools). All in all this is quite useful tho, as I need some multimedia things to put on my multimedia-assignment site (http://www.cassia.be/cooking)

So, now I've got pictures and a small movie of kneading, yeast dough and cinnamon buns.

I've got some dough leftover, think I'll make 'speculaas' buns from it. (borrowed the idea from coquinarias speculaas muffins, http://www.livejournal.com/users/coquinaria/2005/12/02/)

menu plan

In an effor of bringing down food costs, I made up a menu plan. That way I'd only have to go shopping once a week, ensuring (hopefully) off bringing down the costs of frivolities foodwise (wich make the budget rise to high) to about 1/5 of the current part :).

Unfortunately boyfriend seems to have cleaned up the list and I can't find it anymore :(

winter daylight

Walking outside in the middle of the day yesterday managed to wake me up. So, with that in the back of my mind I've put in stronger lamps in the house and screwed in the daylight-like bulb back into my desk light. It seems to help so far, I'm a lot less tired then I used to be the last few weeks
